A quick Cape Cod spring cleaning story;
Many of the houses on Cape Cod are seasonal and are unoccupied for the winter and then need a thorough cleaning in spring to get them ready. So while cleaning out a cupboard of one such house one of our employees stumbled across three oil preserved mice. At some point over the winter the mice had gotten into the cupboard, chewed apart the cork on a carafe of olive oil, and then had fallen into the carafe (I imagine one by one), trying to get to the oil and were unable to get out. So when she went to clean the cupboard a couple of months later she found the mouse infused olive oil.
