Cape Cod Pollen Season

Cape Cod Pollen Season

Cape Cod’s pollen season is usually in May or early June, it all depends on the weather. Oak and pine are the primary pollen producers, cherry trees and other flowering trees and shrubs also make their contributions.

It’s official, the spring pollen season is here, allergy sufferers beware! We recommend that everyone on Cape Cod keep their windows and doors shut whenever possible to limit the amount of pollen that gets into your home. The pollen makes our job that much harder as it gets everywhere leaving a fine yellow dust and we HATE DUST! In addition to dusting with a damp cloth to trap the pollen, all of our vacuums use HEPA filtration to remove airborne particulates like pollen. If you have allergies we strongly recommend keeping your windows shut! Yes, it can be hard to resist on a beautiful spring day but for your health keep them closed at all times for the next couple of weeks. If your home has central air or even wall mounted AC to turn it on as these have filtration systems built in.
