Sarah Curley & Steve Lam

Sarah Curley & Steve Lam

Wellfleet, Massachusetts – In 1979, Sarah Paine Curley founded a residential cleaning service in Wellfleet. In 1991, she expanded by buying The Furies, a six-year old business founded by a pair of college students in 1985. In 1996, Curley moved her growing business to its present headquarters at 2393 Route 6 in Wellfleet.

Now, after several decades of owning and operating The Furies Cleaning Service and Linen Rentals, Sarah proudly announces that she has passed the torch to Steven Lam.

Sarah, who has successfully built The Furies to be an important contributor to the Cape Cod community, is looking forward to a new venture using her Textile Engineering – Business Management education. Steve, a former CFO & COO of several New York companies over the past few decades, most notably with Steiner Sports Memorabilia and Applebee’s in NYC, brings his experience, energy & passion to The Furies team.

This is an exciting change for Sarah as well as Lam, his family & the entire Furies team!

“The Furies has a terrific reputation for servicing Cape Cod since 1985. In the midst of the Olympics, it’s an honor to receive The Furies Torch from someone as well-respected in the community as Sarah Paine Curley.  On behalf of everyone associated with The Furies, we look forward to continuing the traditional and high standards of quality, reliable service that The Furies is known for. The customer relationship is the heart of the business. I look forward to meeting everyone in this magnificent part of the world.” says Steve.

Sarah will continue to be associated with The Furies during the transition. “I’d like to acknowledge all of you that have been with me along the way – family, friends, employees and customers alike. I hope you have the opportunity to attend our August 18th Customer Appreciation gathering from Noon to 4 pm at The Furies Wellfleet headquarters!” says Sarah.
