Changeover Cleaning Service
Available in Truro & Wellfleet
Changeover Cleaning can be scheduled any day of the week except Monday, but usually occurs on the weekend when one tenant vacates a house and another tenant moves in. Saturday is restricted to cleaning in Wellfleet. Sunday we clean houses in both Wellfleet and Truro. We suggest that you have us do a thorough Spring Cleaning for you before your first tenant arrives! Our goal is that your last tenants have as clean a house as your first tenants! Tenant Cleaning is a regular house cleaning or a changeover cleaning scheduled at the request of the tenant. If you are requesting this service on a Saturday or Sunday, we have limited openings between 8AM and 10AM, so call us today to reserve your cleaning!
On Saturdays we largely stay in Wellfleet. Sundays we cover Wellfleet and Truro. We have limited availability for Eastham customers. This type of cleaning usually occurs between 10am-4pm. We offer a discounted rate on Saturday changeovers on any house that has a 4pm check in time. |

Spring/Fall Cleaning
Major seasonal cleanings are more in-depth than a regular cleaning. We strongly suggest a spring cleaning for all change-over customers this allows us to get the house into a good condition prior to any tenants and usually a house that we have spring cleaned will take us less time on average than a house that we haven't pre-cleaned. Spring cleanings are billed a at a lower rate than changeovers. Give us call and we will send you a checklist, which you can fill out, sign, and return with your spring cleaning deposit.
Fall cleanings are also a great way to keep your property maintained. There are special tips we have learned over the years that will help your house weather our Cape Cod winters and will make the spring cleaning easier. A proper fall cleaning will also reduce the chance of various "vermin" from taking up occupancy in your house over the winter. Call us!

Policies and Procedures
Changeover Cleaning - Occurs when one tenant leaves and another arrives later that day or on the following day. Cape Cod is a very popular place with summer vacationers, and the majority of visitors to the region will stay in a rented house. These houses almost all turn over on Saterday and Sunday, this causes a huge push to clean these houses within the short time span between tenants. The Furies guarantee the quality of our cleanings and that the changeovers we have taken on will be ready by the check in time of the new tenants.*
*if the previous tenant is late checking out or leaves the property in a deplorable condition we can not guarantee that the property will be ready by check in time.
Scheduling
- All homes owned by customers participating in our Changeover Cleaning program should also schedule a Spring Cleaning.
- All changeover customers must fill out and sign our changeover agreements, which include a calendar of cleaning dates. We must have your dates by the beginning of April, at which time we fill in openings from the waiting list.
- Please call the office if you have a special request or need to change your calendar of cleaning dates. We will do our best to accommodate you.
- Please do not ask cleaning crew members to forward your scheduling changes to our office, there is no guarantee that these will be conveyed to us. Instead all changes and requests must be made though our office. We prefer to speak directly to you so please call us at (508)-349-1145 and speak directly with us.
- Please do not send any last minute changes, requests, or instructions by e-mail.
Cancellations/Changes
- Changeover cleaning date changes or cancellations must be made directly to our office by phone.
- Changeover date cancellations must be made at least 1 week in advance or you will be charged your regular changeover rate.
- A $35 fee will be charged for each date that is cancelled after April 1st.
Late Checkouts and Early Arrival - Changeover Cleanings
- Our Cleaning Crews cannot enter a house until the tenants have left.
- For each time a cleaning crew arrives to find a tenant on-site, a late check out fee is applied, your tenants need to check by the time specified in their lease.
- If a new tenant moves into the house before the crew can clean, the house might not be cleaned and the regular changeover rate will be charged. Again your tenants should not arrive onto the property until their lease starts.
Cleaning Supplies
- The Furies provides all cleaning supplies and equipment used by the cleaning crews.
- For Changeover Cleanings, we provide additional items such as trash can liners, soaps and toilet paper on a as needed basis.
- We strongly encourage that the homeowner provide cleaning supplies and other basic items such as light bulbs, vacuum cleaner bags, dish washing detergent, etc. for your tenants to use, as we hope the visitors will feel more inclined to treat the house kindly, and thereby decrease the total time our cleaners have to spend on property. Since we charge by the manhour (explanation of a manhour) this will decrease the total amount charged for the cleaning.
When Extreme Cleaning is needed
- If tenants leave your home in an unusually messy condition, it is possible that it will not be cleaned by the check-in time for the incoming tenant.
- Generally, we attempt will call the realtor or an appropriate agent and ask them to delay the incoming tenant until the home is ready for their arrival.
- Additionally we will try to contact the home owner or an appropriate agent and inform them as to the condition of the property.
Payments
- All invoices and payments are processed in our Wellfleet office.
- Invoices are mailed immediately after your cleaning.
- Payment is due 15 days from date of service.
- Check, Money Order preferred; Mastercard, Discover, and VISA are also accepted.
- A surcharge of 18% will be assessed against any outstanding balances that are still unpaid after 30 days (15 days overdue).
Guarantee
We have a 24 hour guarantee. If you are not satisfied with an aspect of the cleaning, please let us know right away and we will have the crew come back to clean the area that was missed.
